This is a ridiculously simple four-ingredient recipe (not including the salt and pepper) for a tomato cantaloupe salad.

It's a great light lunch or a simple side for dinner. Tomato and cantaloupe is a glorious combination that I know you'll enjoy!

This recipe is summer in a bowl! It's delightfully juicy and so simple to pull together. It pairs well with many dishes like Grilled BBQ Chicken Thighs Recipe or Chicken Kabobs or can be served on its own as a light lunch.

Ingredients

Here's what you'll need to make this simple summer salad recipe!

Cantaloupe tomato salad ingredients.
  • 1 cantaloupe, scooped with a melon baller
  • 15 cherry tomatoes (or 1 pint), halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 leaves basil leaves, chiffonaded or roughly chopped
  • pinch of salt & pepper

Instructions

Melon slices with balls cut out.
  • Halve the cherry tomatoes.
  • Chop or ball the melon.
  • Chop or chiffonade the basil leaves.
  • Combine the cantaloupe and cherry tomatoes in a bowl.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and top with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with basil, toss to combine, and serve immediately.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
