Notes

  • Storage - Leftovers can be saved for up to 3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
  • Preparation Tips - Here's a helpful guide on cutting oranges. I typically cut the ends off, then slice the peel off from top to bottom by slicing down the sides. This is an easy way to remove the pith and peel quickly. Then, I slice the orange into rounds and quarter it to get bite-size pieces.
  • Specialty Ingredients - Blood oranges can usually be found at grocery stores (Whole Foods and Trader Joe's often have them) from December through April.
  • Recommended Tools - I highly recommend using a sharp chef's knife to cut the rind from the oranges.
  • Diet/Allergy Alternatives - If you'd like this recipe to be vegan, leave off the feta cheese (or substitute for vegan cheese) and swap the honey for maple syrup.
