Dubai Chocolate Dates Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 Medjool dates pitted
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup finely chopped kataifi
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio butter
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped pistachios optional

Instructions

  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the butter and once it’s just bubbling, add the kataifi and let it toast, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.

  • Add the kataifi to a small bowl, and stir in the pistachio butter and tahini. Stir till combined.

  • Spoon about a tablespoon of kataifi stuffing into each of the dates and place them on a piece of parchment paper.

  • Melt the chocolate chips in a bowl in the microwave in 30-second increments, until it can be drizzled.

  • Drizzle the dates with the melted chocolate and top with chopped pistachios.  Freeze for 10 minutes or refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
