Ingredients

Shrimp Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Honey Garlic Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger finely grated
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced
  • toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  • Pat the shrimp dry. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add to the pan in a single layer and cook 1 to 2 minutes per side, just until pink and lightly curling. Remove the shrimp from the pan.
  • Pour the sauce into the pan and cook for 3 minutes or until slightly reduced and sticky. Add the shrimp back to the pan and stir to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the shrimp is glossy.
  • Remove from heat. Top with scallions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Storage - cooked shrimp will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator when stored in an airtight container.
