Onion Boil

This viral onion boil recipe is wonderfully delicious and easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 large yellow onion
  • ½ teaspoon cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Cut the ends of both sides of the onion. Use a melon baller or spoon to scoop out the center of the onion about halfway down.

  • Place the onion in the center of a large piece of aluminum foil on a rimmed baking sheet. Mix all the spices together and scoop half of them into the onion and sprinkle across the onion. Pour the butter into the center and add the remaining spices.

  • Bring the sides of the foil together to create a packet. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

  • Remove the onion from the oven and carefully open the foil. Serve immediately.

Notes

Storage - Leftovers can be saved in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container.
