This is a ridiculously simple 4 ingredient recipe (not including the S&P) for tomato and cantaloupe salad. It’s a great light lunch or a simple side for dinner. Tomato and cantaloupe is a glorious combination, that I know you’ll enjoy!

What You’ll Need to Make a Tomato and Cantaloupe Salad

  • 1 cantaloupe, scooped with a melon baller
  • 15 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 leaves basil leaves, roughly chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste

How to Make This Super Simple Salad

  • Combine the cantaloupe and cherry tomatoes in a bowl.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and top with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with basil and serve immediately.

I hope you enjoy this flavor combination as much as I do. I think it’s really important to use a very ripe cantaloupe. Mildly ripe cantaloupe is just meh. The flavor and color are at their best when they’re super ripe – usually from June to August.
