Ingredients
- Heirloom Tomatoes - use a mixture of colorful tomatoes for maximum flavor and visual interest.
- Mozzarella - fresh mozzarella slices add wonderful rich, creamy flavor to the salad.
- Salami - I like to use a mix of salami types for the dish and purchased a trio of flavors. Feel free to use whatever is your favorite type of cured meat.
- Pepperoncini - you can buy a can or jar of these spicy chili peppers in most grocery stores. They add a little bit of heat and zingy flavor to the dish!
- Basil - fresh basil is a must in this recipe! It's bright flavor pairs perfectly with tomatoes.
- Balsamic Glaze - using a balsamic reduction is a beautiful way to finish the dish.
- Salt and Pepper - top the whole dish with a little sprinkle of sea salt and ground black pepper for flavor.
