These yogurt bites are a super easy recipe to make and only require a few ingredients! You can use your favorite type of fresh fruit - I used blueberries and strawberries because they freeze well.

Ingredients

Here are the simple ingredients you'll need to make these creamy berry frozen yogurt bites.

Greek yogurt, chopped strawberries, dark chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, flaky sea salt, and blueberries in glass bowls.
  • Greek Yogurt - I recommend using a plain Greek yogurt for this recipe, but vanilla yogurt or your favorite flavor of yogurt will work as well. Using full fat yogurt will make the bites freeze less 'icy' and have a creamier texture.
  • Fresh Strawberries - cut strawberries into smaller pieces as the larger they are the harder they are to bite into. If using frozen strawberries, make sure to thaw them first and chop them into smaller pieces.
  • Fresh Blueberries - blueberries can be added whole to the yogurt bites or halved if you'd prefer. You can use frozen blueberries if necessary as well.
  • Dark Chocolate Chips - dark chocolate makes a perfect just sweet enough topping for these bites, but you can use milk chocolate if you'd like it even sweeter.
  • Toppings - I used chopped peanuts and flaky sea salt to top the berry bites, but you can use coconut flakes, sprinkles, chopped almonds, or anything else you'd enjoy.

Tips for Making this Recipe

Preparation Tips - I highly recommend freezing the bites on parchment paper and not directly on a plate or pan. It's very hard to get them unstuck from a sheet pan if they are frozen directly on it.

Alternate Preparation Methods - You can make these bites in a muffin tin as well. Line a 6-hole muffin tin with silicone or paper muffin cups and add the yogurt berry mixture. Freeze, remove cups from the tin and top with chocolate and toppings before freezing again.

Substitutions & Variations

  • Sweetener - if you'd like sweeter yogurt bites, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup to the yogurt and fresh berry mixture.
  • Granola - if you want to make these into a healthy snack or serve them for breakfast, make them a yogurt parfait by adding in a spoonful of granola to the top of each yogurt round before freezing.
  • Vegan - use dairy-free yogurt like coconut yogurt to make these bites vegan.
  • Coconut oil - if you want the chocolate to be slightly less brittle and more pliable, add ½ tablespoon of coconut oil to the chocolate chips when you microwave them.

Storage

Leftover frozen yogurt bites can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. I recommend storing them in a zip-top bag or another freezer-safe container.
