One of my favorite weeknight meals - these delicious baked garlic parmesan pork chops are so tasty and easy to make!
Fast and easy to make, you'll only need a few simple ingredients to make juicy and flavorful parmesan-crusted pork chops.

Recipe Features
- You'll start the chops on the stovetop in a mixture of olive oil and butter and then bake them till tender! This crisps up the parmesan into a lovely crust on the pork chops.
- An easy way to cook for chops for maximum juiciness - no more dried-out pork chops for you!
Ingredients
- Pork Chops - I used bone-in pork chops, but boneless will work as well (though they will need a few minutes less of cooking time)
- Parmesan Cheese - adds wonderful flavor and a punch of saltiness. Use grated, not shredded, parm for this recipe.
- Garlic Cloves - fresh garlic adds great flavor and a kick of allium.
- Flour - a little bit of all-purpose flour helps to coat the chops to create a crust that gets golden and crispy!
- Olive Oil - use olive oil or any other type of oil along with the butter to cook the pork.
- Butter - adds wonderful flavor while cooking the pork.
- Seasonings - you'll combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, and ground black pepper for a great spice blend.
- For servings - chopped fresh parsley and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
See the recipe card for quantities.

Instructions

- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a shallow bowl or dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix till combined.

- Step 2: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Dredge each chop in the Parmesan mixture, pressing down gently to make sure it sticks.

- Step 3: Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and butter. Once the butter’s melted and foamy, place the pork chops in the skillet. Sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown.

- Step 4: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F.

- Step 5: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes. Squeeze lemon juice on chops and garnish with parsley.
Tips for Making this Recipe
- Preparation Tips - If possible, allow pork chops to come to room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before cooking. It helps cook the meat more evenly (no cold spots) and produces juicier meat.
- Cooking Tips - Try not to overcook the chops - a little pink in the center is great! The USDA recommends cooking pork chops to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
- Recommended Tools - You'll need an oven-safe frying pan or skillet. I recommend using a cast-iron skillet.
Make Ahead & Storage
- Storage - Leftovers can be saved in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
- Reheat - You can reheat in the microwave in 1-minute increments or in a 350-degree oven. I also find the chops good cold - we slice them and serve them on sandwiches.
