Grilled Jalapeños Recipe

These fantastic grilled jalapeños are easy to make and taste great as a side dish, added to tacos, quesadillas, or in a grain bowl.

Grilling jalapenos tames some of their heat, but they still have a great amount of spice. Added with the seasonings and fresh lime juice, you'll love the combination of flavors.

Recipe Features

These tasty grilled peppers are so easy to make! Grilling the jalapenos brings out the best flavors. There's not much prep work and start to finish; you'll have these made in about 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Jalapeño Peppers
  • Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
  • Garlic Powder
  • Sea Salt
  • Ground Cumin

Instructions

Step 1: Heat a grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat (350 to 450 degrees F).

Step 2: Wash and fully dry the peppers. 

Step 3: Add the oil, garlic powder, salt, and cumin to a mixing bowl and stir till combined. Add in the peppers and toss till they are fully coated with oil.

Step 4: Thread the peppers onto metal or bamboo skewers.

Step 5: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes till grill lines have formed, then flip and grill for an additional 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 6: Remove from the grill and top with an optional squeeze of lime juice. Serve immediately.

Storage

  • Storage - leftovers can be saved for up to 4 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
  • To Freeze - grilled jalapenos can be saved for up to 3 months in a freezer-safe ziptop bag.
  • Reheat - in the microwave in 30-second increments.
