Easy Baked Curly Fry Features
- Classic fast food fry flavor, but in a healthier format! I'll show you the exact spice blend you need in order to replicate your favorite take out curly fries at home!
- Serve them with your favorite burger, steak, or game day snack.

Ingredients
- Potato - you'll use one large russet potato. Russets are high starch and low moisture, they're the best potato for crispy fries! Avoid using red or new potatoes - they're too moist to make good fries.
- Olive oil - a good glug of olive oil will help the fries bake evenly and crisp up.
- Seasonings - use a mixture of salt, onion powder, paprika, pepper, cumin, and cayenne for a classic curly fry flavor!
- Optional - ketchup, mayo, or other condiment for dipping

I hope you enjoy these simple but delicious baked spiralized potatoes!

Servings: 2 large servings
Ingredients
- 1 large russet potato
- 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne optional
- optional - ketchup and mayo for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 C).
- Use a spiralizer to create curly potato strips.

- If potato curls are longer than 4 to 5 inches, snap them into smaller pieces.

- Add the spiralized potatoes and olive oil to a large parchment lined sheet pan then add the salt, onion powder, paprika, pepper, cumin, and optional cayenne and toss to combine. Spread into a single layer.

- Bake for 15 minutes and check - if there are any crispy pieces remove them and put the rest of the potatoes back in the oven.

- Bake for another 5 to 10 minutes or until all the potatoes are done.

- Serve with your choice of condiment - I like a mixture of mayonnaise and ketchup.
Notes
Storage - leftovers can be saved for up to 3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container. I highly recommend reheating in the oven to crisp up the fries - microwaving them will make the soggy.
Cooking Tips - When you spiralize potatoes, you get three distinctive spirals - the tight coils, the larger looser coils (the most prevalent kind), and the smaller edge pieces (they crisp the fastest). They can over-crisp quickly though if you don't watch them. About 15 minutes in, start pulling the ones that look like they are getting done.
