Egg flights are going viral on TikTok, thanks to creator Alice Choi (@HipFoodieMom1) and her awesome recipe for hardboiled eggs topped with kewpie mayo, mustard, kimchi, jalapenos, and pickled red onions.
So many TikTok foodies have made delicious-looking variations - one of my favorites is from (@smallersam_pcos), who made a fantastic version while in her car!
Ingredients
You'll need a fun variety of ingredients to top your eggs, here are a few ideas!
- Hardboiled eggs - preferably three (although some people make them with two). I bought premade hardboiled eggs from the store to make this recipe even easier!
- BLT version - you'll need mayonnaise, mustard (I used dijon mustard) bacon, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes.
- Lox version - you'll need cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, and red onion.
- Kimchi Avo version - you'll need mayonnaise, kimchi, avocado, and cherry tomatoes.
See the recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Assemble your egg flight by cutting the hardboiled eggs in half. If the eggs are too slippery on your plate, you can slice a little off the egg white to make it flat on the plate.
For the BLT eggs, place a dab of mayonnaise and mustard on each egg, followed by a few pieces of lettuce, a few small pieces of bacon, and top with a slice of cherry tomato.
For the lox eggs, place a dab of cream cheese on each egg, followed by a piece of smoked salmon, a few small slices of red onion, and a few capers.
For the kimchi avocado eggs, place a dab of mayonnaise on each egg, followed by a small slice of avocado, a piece of kimchi and a sliced of cherry tomato.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
