This easy strawberry cantaloupe salad recipe with a sweet mint and lime topping is wonderfully delicious.

It's a perfect side dish for a summer dinner. It makes four side salad servings and is ready in just a few minutes.

This salad is fruity and sweet! It's the best of summer fruit with juicy melon and berries. The lime mint sauce topping takes this salad to the next level.

It's sweet and zesty at the same time and acts as a marinade for the fruit. This is an excellent salad to serve at a BBQ or to take to a picnic.


Ingredients You'll Need

This strawberry salad recipe requires just a few ingredients. If you don't have a melon baller, you can scoop out the melon with a teaspoon or cut it into chunks.

  • 2 cups strawberries, chopped into quarters
  • 1 cantaloupe, scooped into balls
  • zest of one lime
  • juice of one lime
  • 3 teaspoons cane sugar
  • ¼ cup mint, roughly chopped


Instructions

  1. Combine the strawberries and cantaloupe into a medium mixing bowl. 
  2. Mix the lime zest, lime juice, sugar, and mint in a small bowl till thoroughly combined. 
  3. Top the fruit with the lime mixture and stir to combine. 
  4. Serve immediately or allow to chill in the refrigerator for one hour before serving, to allow the flavor to develop.
