Substitutions & Variations

Want to make some changes to this cheese platter? Here are some ingredients you can substitute.

  • Cheese - feel free to switch out the cheese cubes for soft cheeses, if you'd prefer. You can also use cheese slices and a cookie cutter to make some cute star shaped cheese pieces.
  • Fresh Fruit - add some fruit to this board - red or green grapes are a wonderful addition or cut strawberries or blackberries.
  • Meat - you can include your favorite meats on this board, whatever sliced cured meat you like can be added!

Storage

You can make this in advance and save it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, cover it with plastic wrap or save it in an airtight container.

I'd recommend dressing the tomatoes and mozzarella right before serving though.

Charcuterie boards can be kept at room temperature for up to 4 hours before they need to be discarded. If your board has sat out for longer than that, I don't recommend saving the leftovers.
