Cottage Cheese Dip Ingredients
- Cottage Cheese - I like to use a low-fat cottage cheese. I typically use Good Culture because I enjoy the tangier flavor, but you can use any brand you like.
- Chives - fresh chives have a wonderful, bright onion flavor. You can substitute for 2 green onions if necessary.
- Shallot - use one small shallot for some sharp onion flavor. You can leave this out if you don't want the recipe as oniony.
- Fresh Herbs - I suggest using a blend of fresh parsley, basil, and dill. I think they provide a wonderful, complementary blend of flavors without being overpowering. However, you can get creative and substitute any soft herbs you enjoy, such as cilantro, tarragon, or mint.
- Garlic - fresh garlic cloves add a tasty, aromatic flavor. They can be left out if you'd prefer, or you can add ¼ teaspoon garlic powder.
- Lemon Juice - I highly recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice for the brightest citrusy flavor!
- Salt & Pepper - finally, you'll round out the dip with a little S&P to bring out the best flavors.
