Pretzel sticks, kiwis, melted chocolate, and candy eyes.

Instructions

Cut each kiwi in half lengthwise. Using a small, sharp knife, cut ⅔ of the skin off, leaving 'hair' around the top of the kiwi.

A halved kiwi next to three whole kiwis.

Cut the kiwi skin so the 'hairline' is jagged (you want messy Frankenstein hair!)

Eight kiwis cut into frankenstein shapes on a cutting board.

Break ½-inch end pieces off of each pretzel stick and press them into the sides of the kiwis.

Kiwis with pretzels sticks on the edges on a cutting board.

Using a toothpick or skewer, dab a little of the melted chocolate onto the backs of the candy eyeballs and affix them to the kiwis.

Draw a mouth and scar onto each kiwi with the melted chocolate.

Serve immediately or chill in the fridge till the chocolate has hardened.

These kiwi monsters will keep in the fridge for up to a day in an airtight container. The pretzels become a little soggy, so add those right before serving if possible.

Serving Tips - You can stick a skewer into the base of the kiwis and serve these as Frankenstein kiwi pops!

Specialty Ingredients - You can easily find candy eyes at Target and most larger grocery stores during September and October. They are also often available at Michael's, and I've found some on Amazon in the past as well.
