These adorable banana mummies are so fun to make for Halloween! They're a simple but tasty Halloween treat.

I recommend using sugar-free white chocolate if you want a lower-sugar snack, but any type of white chocolate will work for this recipe.

This easy treat is perfect for a Halloween party or after-school snack. It will delight kids of all ages!

Ingredients

You don't need much to make these Halloween banana mummies!

Bananas, candy eyes, and a bar of Lily's white chocolate.
  • Fresh Bananas
  • Lily’s Original White Chocolate
  • Candy Eyes

Optional - wooden skewers, popsicle sticks, or lollipop stick if you want to serve on a stick.

Instructions

Carefully peel bananas and cut them in half crosswise.

Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe small bowl or measuring cup in 30-second increments in the microwave, stirring often. 

Using a small spoon, drizzle lines of melted chocolate across each banana half in a crisscross pattern. Add candy eyeballs to the top of the banana mummies.

Place bananas on a parchment paper lined baking sheet or dish.

Place the bananas in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes until the chocolate has hardened.

Keep the bananas in the fridge till serving them.

Substitutions & Variations

Here are some optional ingredient swaps you can make.

  • Chocolate - you can use regular white chocolate or white chocolate chips for this recipe. Milk chocolate will work as well, but it will look a little different.
  • Peanut Butter - if you'd like to add a little protein, add a drizzle of peanut butter onto each banana as well.

Storage

These banana treats are best served the day they are made, but they will keep for up to a day or two in the refrigerator when stored in an airtight container.
